百十年清華，鐘靈毓秀。走過111年曆程的清華，秉承“自強不息、厚德載物”的校訓和“行勝于言”的校風，以精深的學術造詣、嚴謹的科學精神、深摯的愛國熱情和深厚的文化底蘊，培育了大批學術大師、興業英才、治國人才，為國家發展和人類進步作出了重要貢獻，被譽為中國高等教育的一面旗幟。清華園内，衆多博古通今、學貫中西的名家大師執教講壇、垂範學子，一大批學術大師和中青年領軍人才活躍在國際學術前沿。
百十年清華，人文日新。清華有着悠久的文科傳統和深厚的人文積澱。1925年，國學研究院成立；1926年，分設國文、外文、曆史、哲學、政治學、經濟學、社會學、教育心理學、東方語言學等系科；1928年，設立了文學院和法學院。衆多學術大師雲集清華，形成了“中西融會、古今貫通、文理滲透”的辦學特色。清華文科現有12個院系、950多名全職教師，人文、社科、管理和藝術各學科整體推進，一些優勢學科跻身國際國内前列，蜚聲中外。

Tsinghua University was established in 1911, originally under the name “Tsing Hua Imperial College”. The campus of Tsinghua University is situated in northwest Beijing on the site of the former imperial gardens of the Qing Dynasty, and surrounded by a number of historical sites.
Since its founding, Tsinghua greatly valued the interaction between Chinese and Western cultures, sciences and humanities, the ancient and the modern. Tsinghua scholars Wang Guowei, Liang Qichao, Chen Yinque and Zhao Yuanren, renowned as the “Four Tutors” in the Institute of Chinese Classics, advocated this belief and had a profound impact on Tsinghua's later development.
Today, Tsinghua has developed into a comprehensive research university. At present, it has 21 schools and 59 departments with faculties in science, engineering, humanities, law, medicine, history, philosophy, economics, management, education and art. With the motto of “Self-discipline and Social Commitment” and the spirit of “Actions Speak Louder Than Words”, it is dedicated to the well-being of Chinese society and to world development.
Humanities and social sciences at Tsinghua date back to the 1920s when the Institute of Chinese Classics was established, together with the later-on emergence of other subjects of humanities and social sciences. Today, disciplines of humanities and social sciences at Tsinghua have become prestigious across the nation and some of them have reached world-class level. To accelerate the development of humanities and social sciences is among the top priorities in the University's agenda. Hopefully, humanities and social sciences will become one of the driving forces in the University's journey towards a top world-class university.

Recruitment Positions
beat365全面實施教研系列教師崗位準聘長聘（Tenure-track）制度。教研系列職位包括助理教授、準聘副教授、長聘副教授和教授。清華文科還專門設立了人文講席教授、文科資深教授等席位，加大對頂尖人才的支持和激勵。
本次招聘面向全球人文社會科學領域優秀學者，招聘崗位為教研系列教師，主要包括頂尖學者和傑出學者兩個層次，部分學科方向也接受準聘副教授和助理教授的崗位申請，招聘崗位具體參見附表。同時，特别設立高級訪問教授崗位，邀請具備卓越學術水平的學者來清華訪學交流，開展教學科研活動。
The recruitment targets mainly distinguished scholars and outstanding scholars. We plan to recruit prominent academics with remarkable scholarly records to join Tsinghua as tenured professors, as well as tenure-track assistant and associate professors in some disciplines (as shown in the list of positions attached below). We will conduct open searches across all fields of humanities and social sciences.
Apart from positions in the normal tenure-track system, we have set up positions of Chair Professor and Distinguished Professor of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences to support and honor distinguished scholars.
Meantime, we also welcome scholars to come as Senior Visiting Professors, specially set up to invite those with outstanding academic achievement to visit Tsinghua for teaching and research. The list of positions is attached below.
頂尖學者 Distinguished Scholars
聘任崗位：長聘教授，特别傑出的學者可授予人文講席教授。
- 已在所從事領域取得國際公認的重大研究成果，做出了突破性的原創學術貢獻，産生了突出的學術影響，展現出傑出的學術領導力；
- 國内外大學終身教授，或研究機構相當職位或水平的高層次人才；
- 年齡一般不超過55周歲。
Positions Offered: Professor (especially world-renowned scholars can be awarded Chair Professor in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences)
Requirements:
- Record of internationally-recognized achievement in his/her field, original academic contributions, and demonstrable outstanding academic leadership;
- Full professors at universities in China or abroad, or with equivalent appointment standards, or with equivalent positions or levels at research institutions in China and abroad.
傑出學者 Outstanding Scholars
聘任崗位：長聘教授、長聘副教授
- 已在所從事領域取得突出的原創性成果并受到廣泛認可，展現出了出色的學術領導力，具有成長為本領域頂尖學者的素質和潛力；
- 國内外大學的終身教授、副教授或達到相當聘任标準，或研究機構相當職位或水平的人才；
- 原則上45歲以下，特别優秀者可以放寬到50歲。
Positions Offered: Professor or Tenured Associate Professor
Requirements:
- Outstanding record of original achievements in his/her field, demonstrable strong academic leadership, and great potential to top his/her field in the near future;
- Tenured professors or associate professors at universities in China or abroad, or with equivalent appointment standards, or with equivalent positions or levels at research institutions in China and abroad.
高級訪問教授 Senior Visiting Professors
聘任崗位：高級訪問教授或副教授
- 國内外大學教授、副教授；或研究機構相當職位或水平的高層次人才；
- 研究方向和訪問院系學科發展規劃契合，有明确的訪學計劃；
- 原則一般不超過60歲，身體健康狀況良好。
Positions Offered: Senior Visiting Professor or Associate Professor
Requirements:
- Professors and associate professors at universities worldwide with international reputation, or with equivalent appointment standards, or with equivalent positions or levels at research institutions in China and abroad;
- Fits with the development plan of the host department/school and has a clear visiting plan.
